Christmas Gingerbread House for the Library

So I get the privilege of decorating the library I work at for Christmas and the holiday season this year! I have the idea to build a book display for a while now and decided I wanted it to look like a gingerbread house. I ran the idea past my mom in August/September and she was excited to help. We drew up some plans and spent about a month shopping for materials (who knew you could buy fake donuts and cupcakes?), cutting and framing (my mom got a jigsaw for her birthday), painting, gluing, etc. Below are pictures of our process and the finished product. I hope you enjoy.

Completed Project!
I want to give a big thank you to my Mom for all her help on this project as well as to my Dad, Ryan, Kenny, Kevin, Grandpa & Grandma, Aunt Loi, and Alissa. You all contributed to this project and were critical to seeing it completed before the Christmas season. Thank you!!

Once I get it set up at the library, I will post another picture!
